PARIS 1781 Platter / Plate in silver of the filets contours style, with the marli engraved with a period coat of arms framed by eagles; the whole stamped with a comtale crown. These coats of arms can be linked to several families: GOMMERET, PALIERNE, SONNET, GRILLOT... Charge and discharge marks for PARIS 1780-1782. Swearing hallmark for PARIS 1781 ("S" crowned). Master goldsmith's hallmark: Pierre Nicolas SOMME. Diameter : 25.5 cm. Weight: 656.2 grams. We would like to thank Mr. Francis Sanchez for identifying the coat of arms.
