Set of 12 Empire-style silver oyster forks.
Decorated with water leaves, fleurons, palmettes, cascading flowers, and a flaming torch surrounded by swan wings.
Design by Baron GERARD, painter to the Empire (1770–1837).
The prong attachments are adorned with a laurel wreath.
The backs of the blades feature a stylized, interlaced monogram: “HD.”
First-title Minerva hallmarks.
Goldsmiths’ hallmarks: LAPPARRA & GABRIEL (“LG” and rat), active from 1902 to 1923.
