CHRISTOFLE Matching set of Louis XVI-style fruit and dessert knives in metal (12 silver-plated knives and 12 gold-plated knives, for a total of 24 pieces). Handles decorated with pearl fillets, scrolls, and foliage. Pommel engraved with stylized intertwined initials (“AD”). Blades likely made of steel. Traces of the silversmith’s hallmarks: (“CC” and a balance scale within a diamond inscribed in a circle). L: approx. 20.7 cm. Shows signs of use (wear to the gilding). In its leather-covered case with a lid engraved with the initials “A.D.” (shows signs of use, scuffs, and wear). Case dimensions: H: 7 cm; L: 24.2 cm; D: 14.5 cm.
