Two silver cigarette/lighter cases, one MAPPIN & WEB:
- The first with grooved "pointe d'asperge" decoration. Applique rocaille cartouche embellished with foliage. Inside in vermeil (missing elastic bands). Marked 950. Double "crab" hallmark and master goldsmith's hallmark. H: 1.3 cm approx. L: 8.3 cm. D: 5.6 cm. Weight: 55.1 grams;
- The second envelope-cut case features an incised design of stylized garlands on a striated background. Each side framed by fillets with fleur-de-lys in the corners. Diagonal opening on the plate. English title stamp for Birmingham circa 1918-1933. Letter date: "g" probably for 1906. Swan control mark. Master goldsmith's hallmark: "MAPPIN & WEBB" and signature in full. Numbered: "29508820". Dimensions: 8.2 x 5.1 mm. Gross weight: 57.5 grams.
