CLERMONT FERRAND 1798-1809 Late 18th century silver wine tasting vessel. The rim is decorated with vine leaves or bunches of grapes. Handle with facing snakes, and "L. CUSOL" border. 2nd title and guarantee hallmarks (office no. 74) for the Puy de Dôme/Clermont Ferrand department 1798-1809. Master goldsmith's hallmarks (body and handle) with initials "BG" (to be identified). Weight: 72 grams.
