A lovely 750°° yellow gold pendant featuring a cameo. The cameo, carved from orange-colored agate, depicts a nymph in motion, draped in the classical style. Elaborate setting forming a portico with decoration on the lintel featuring a frieze of ovals; the camee is surrounded by stylized foliage. Finished with a small white pearl pendant. Eagle-head hallmark. Traces of a jeweler’s hallmark. Total height (with bail and pendant): 43 mm. Height without bail and pendant: 35.6 mm. L: 249 mm. Agate dimensions: 21.9 x 13.4 mm. Weight: 5 grams.
