Provenance: Château de Selincourt (Somme) PUIFORCAT A vermeil (gold on silver) cylindrical saupoudroir encircled by fillets in slight relief. Each part adorned with stylized leaves cut in applique. Base with alternating pearl filet and gadroon decoration. Lid centered with a fretel forming an inverted spinning top on a radiating base with stylized cut-out foliage. Minerve hallmark 1st title and crab control mark. Master goldsmith's hallmark: ("EP" and a penknife) for Émile PUIFORCAT, received in 1857. Signature in full letters: PUIFORCAT PARIS. H. (with fretel): 12 cm. Base diameter: 7.7 cm. H. without lid: 8.5 cm. Weight: 390.1 grams In its original gray cardboard box signed "PUIFORCAT Orfèvre. 13 , Bd. Haussmann Paris 8". Includes attribution of the goldsmith's firm to the "Directeur de Trésor du Ministère des Finances", the document numbered: "N: 002453A". Box dimensions: H: 105 cm. L: 18 cm. D: 10.5 cm.
