Romantic clock in gilded and chased bronze. The upper part depicts a gallant scene probably representing Louis XIV offering a pocket watch to Queen Marie-Thérèse of Austria. White enameled dial with circular pearl net decoration and black Roman numerals. Base decorated with rocaille motifs, its center adorned with a coat of arms topped with a raised helmet and rose garlands. Two cherubs in the round. The first plays the lyre. The second carrying a sword and shield. Restoration/Louis-Philippe period H: 43.5 cm. L: 33.5 cm. D: 12 cm.
