REIMS 1713-14 - Lot 103
REIMS 1713-14 Rare Louis XIV-period silver écuelle rémoise of plain design with cut-out and openwork lugs. Probably hallmarked REIMS 1713-14 by master silversmith Jean (II) NOLIN, who was cited in 1673 and died in 1717. Good condition and beautiful hallmarks. As is. Diameter: 16.1 cm. Length (with ears) : 21.5 cm. Weight: 241.2 grams. We would like to thank Mr. Thierry Mulette for identifying the hallmarks. He also points out that a Brienne sur Aisne monstrance classified as a historic monument and on display at the Mézières sacred art depot bears the same hallmarks as the bowl, but by a different master silversmith.
